Welcome to the world, Mila
A beautiful home birth
Ambler, PA
Last week I had the incredible privilege of photographing the birth of sweet Mila into this world. At 4:30 am I got a text from her mom, Annie, saying she was having some contractions but her midwife recommended she tried to go back to sleep and get some rest. Around 6:30 am I received a second text asking how far away I was. Even thought it seemed a little early, I felt like I needed to head over to their home right away. Thank goodness I did! I arrived just after 8:00 am and Mila was born before 9:00 am. Annie brought Mila into the world with an incredible quiet strength and I felt so honored to witness such a beautiful morning.
Being a birth photographer is so incredible. Every time I photograph a birth I am amazed at the strength, support, and love I witness. This was the first time I’d witnessed a home birth and I loved seeing how the entire family was able to gather around Annie as she brought its newest member into the world. Thank you Annie and Chris for allowing me to document these incredible moments!
